Can you believe how fast the year has gone? Thank you so much for tuning into our LAST Holiday seminar of the 2018. Just this week we have moved the entire boutique to it’s new home and we could not be more excited! These Cranberry Brie Appetizers are awesome! If you haven’t already seen a recipe floating around facebook or Pinterest on how to make them, here’s how I made them and they’re pretty simple! What a simple way to make it look like you’ve really got a handle on throwing a festive get-together. I think you could even make these a little ahead of time and wrap saran wrap over them and pop them in the fridge until you’re ready to bake them.

So let’s talk ingredients. This is going to require a tiny muffin tin unless you want to individually wrap each little bite–not impossible, just fussier than you might be in the mood for. I used a can of whole cranberry sauce. You can use your own cranberry jelly, or even a great pepper jelly would taste really good. You’ll use a wheel of brie, you be the judge of the size because I can’t remember what size I bought…and you’ll need the crescent dough that comes in a non-perforated sheet. It’s simplest, I promise. Then, you can add a sprig of rosemary to each cup for pretties.

First, you’ll preheat your oven to 425° and spray your muffin tin. In the meantime, you’ll want to roll out your dough just a bit. We’re just looking to make it thin and even enough to cut it into 24 pieces (that’s how many muffins my tin makes). Place one piece of dough into each muffin cup. I also brushed on a little egg onto the pieces of dough that stuck out of the cup so they’d turn a pretty golden brown.

Then you’re going to cut up your brie into cubes that will fit into your dough cups. I tried to get an even-ish amount in each cup, and I left the rind on the cheese, but you sure don’t have to if you don’t want to!

After that, I just took a small spoon and spooned about half a teaspoon of cranberry sauce into each cup, next to the cheese. Then I added a small sprig of rosemary to each for a festive look. Then stick them into your preheated oven for about 12 minutes. Watch them carefully to make sure they don’t burn, you want a nice golden brown! Serve them warm.

Holiday Moscow Mule Recipe

This is my favorite holiday drink. Mainly I just love using the festive copper cup and the fun garnishes:) It is light, refreshing, and easy to make. There are so many holiday drinks SUPER high in calories, but this mule comes in at only 128 calories, so your healthy diet won’t be derailed by your cocktail! Enjoy!

Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 shot of vodka
  • 1/2 can of Ginger beer (We used Q Ginger Beer)
  • 1 shot of cranberry juice
  • 4 fresh mint leaves and 1 slice of fresh ginger peeled and muddled
  • Copper Moscow mule cup
  • Ice
  • Optional Garnishes
  • Lime wedge
  • Orange peel curl
  • Cinnamon stick
  • Sugar dusted cranberries

Directions

  1. Muddle the fresh mint and ginger or chop very fine.
  2. Add ice to your copper mug.
  3. Pour in the vodka, ginger beer, and cranberry juice.
  4. Add in garnishes
  5. To make the sugar dusted cranberries rinse cranberries with water and just sprinkle with sugar.

Easy Holiday Punch Recipe: This is a basic punch but by adding 7-up, sugar rimmed glasses, and frozen cranberries it jazzes it up and makes it feel holiday special. We serve this here at the store for events and I serve it every Christmas Eve for the kiddos. Very easy also for adults to add a little vodka to it and makes a lovely cocktail. Or–wine turns it into insta sangria. Cheers!

If you are making a standard picture of the punch here is the portions. Not picky so just mix to personal taste.

Equal parts Apple Juice, Cranberry Juice, 7-up.

I add lots of ice, frozen cranberries, thinly sliced green apple and serve in a red sugar rimmed glass.
